We are either victims or survivors. Yes, it is that simple.
We can become a victim of our circumstances paralyzed my our insecurities, our environment, waiting to be rescued while playing the helpless victim.
We can be a survivor who accepts our circumstances and either allows it to motivate us to move forward and chooses to move forward in spite of them.
Of course there are grey area, periods in our lives where we the line between victim and survivor becomes blurred and we are in limbo waiting for the next circumstance to swing the pendulum and dipping us a little more to one side.
That grey area is part of life. It’s the area where we reflect, where we grow stronger or weaker, where we have to pause. The grey area can be a longer period for some where life feels so overwhelming you don’t want to get out of bed. And for others it’s a sobbing cry during a hot shower so no one can hear you crying or see the tears. But there is a grey area, and we’ve all been there at some point in our life.
God bless, and be blessed.
