Staying connected

Sometimes we make life hard. We get busy and we forget that there are things we need to do for ourselves.

We need money to pay bills, to eat, have a roof over our heads, etc. But we need some balance. We need to stay connected, not to the internet, but with each other.

There’s no doubt that people get busy. We start the day with great intentions and get so caught up that we look at the clock and hours have passed. Who hasn’t thought ‘where has the time gone?’ and still felt that you have so much left to do. Those are the times where we need to push back from the schedule and connect.

It doesn’t take much. Grab a cup of coffee and take a 15 minute break to call someone to let them know they matter. Or invite someone to have a cup with you.

Have a potluck with family. Hard for me to do that because I choose to live 6+ hours away from the closest relative so I leave the family get-together to holidays. But there are moments when I miss them and wish we could get together.

Connect. Don’t let the important things get pushed aside. Time we cannot get back. Once a person is gone we cannot get them back. So connect while you have the chance.

God bless, and be blessed.
